Author Glen Rounds wrote about the cowboy lifestyle for more than 60 years, crafting original stories about the open range. First written in 1941, The Blind Colt introduces the reader to Whitey, a young boy who shows all the signs of growing up to be a great cowboy – and Whitey continues to make appearances in many stories over the years. This book tells the story of a blind colt among a herd of mustangs who is eventually adopted and trained as a saddle horse by 10-yr old Whitey, much to the discredit of the adults around him who think the horse should be put down. Softcover, published by Scholastic Inc. in 1960, in very good condition with no rips or tears, some light yellowing of the pages with age, 80 pages.
