Trustee was a chestnut gelding that was immortalized by Currier in 1848 when he became the first horse to trot twenty miles within an hour. This image shows a very tired looking Trustee as he appeared in his twentieth mile over the Union Course! Laminated onto a large metal bronze tray in a sea-green color, this is a lovely piece of equine décor for your home. Very good vintage condition with normal wear for an item of this age, c 1960s, no other marks or stamps. Measures 20 inches long x 15 inches wide x 2 inches deep.
