World-famous for their 100% virgin wool blankets and clothing, Pendleton Woolen mills has been in operation since 1909, and their Segway into men’s clothing started in the 1920s when they offered an alternative to the drab work shirts of the day with imaginative colors and patterns. In the 1970s the company launched the Country Traditionals brand, bringing back the original English tweeds and plaids to a new generation of “yuppies”, and this trend lasted well into the late 1980s. These fabulous trousers have equestrian appeal and sporting looks, 100% virgin wool in a small-checked plaid with colors of taupe, navy and green with yellow and red threads. Medium banded waist with belt loops and a front hook and zipper closure + interior button tab; unlined, front on-seam slash pockets and two rear pockets, one with a button. These trousers are in excellent condition with one note: There is a small pinhole on the front to the right of the fly placket (see picture). C 1980s, made in USA, no marked size but measure at 42. The following measurements were taken with the garment lying FLAT and recorded in inches, please be sure and DOUBLE the appropriate measurements: Waist: 22, rise: 12 ½, inseam: 30, cuff: 10.
