Vintage Riding Suit Youth Brittany Riding Apparel – 1950s

Oh the fabulous way the ladies looked for the hunt, and most certainly the young equestrienne followed suit! Brittany riding Apparel New York was a popular store for the Manhattan Equestrian scene in the 1920s – thru 1970s and part of the Equine Epicenter of New York along with H Kauffman & sons, which purchased interest in this brand in the late 1970s. This darling suit looks like something our beloved Jackie-O would have worn as a child, complete with braided pigtails with ribbons! Suit consists of a wool jacket and flared breeches. Houndstooth plaid riding jacket with beige acetate lining, high notched collar, 3 button front closure and 3 buttons at cuffs, front angled flap pockets, rear center vent. Dark tan flared leg riding breeches with cuffed bottoms, leather knee patches, banded waist with belt loops, button and zippered front, slant hip welt pockets, back welt pockets, unlined.
