The Neusteter Company of stores opened in Denver, Colorado in 1924 and were an iconic presence in Colorado until their closing in 1986. Offering high-end ladies apparel and accessories, they gave their customers the royal treatment complete with huge dressing rooms, private shoppers and beautiful products sourced all over the world. This lovely handbag is private labeled for Neusteters and shows the new logo they launched in 1971 as a way to rebrand the store. Smooth black cowhide with gold-tone square equestrian emblem on front, fold-over flap with snap closure, 3 compartment interior with oak leather lining, interior zippered pocket, short shoulder strap with gold-tone rings. Very good condition with the following note: the strap on the left side of the purse is torn, looks like it can be re-stitched by a leather repair professional. Made in Italy, c1970s, measures 10 ½ inches long x 8 inches tall x 4 inches wide (expandable). Strap measures 10 inches tall from the body of the purse and 1 inch wide.
