Vintage Skirt The Vested Gentress Pasture Pony Denim Wrap – 1970s

This fabulous skirt has a country-fresh look with whimsical horse embroidered on front and wrap-style cut. Started in 1961 in Valley Forge, PA by Fritz “Bud” Jackson Jr and his wife Naomi, The Vested Gentress brand created a following with their whimsical hand screen printed fabrics featuring Bud’s drawings. Embroidered pieces like this one are a bit more rare! After Bud’s passing in 1985 the Vested Gentress closed their door, but fans still find amazing items like this skirt on the vintage market. Cotton denim fabric with a simple banded waist and side ties make the size somewhat adjustable, one opening on band to secure strap, the other strap can be tied or looped or even put through the same opening, really versatile and fun to play with different looks. Unlined, excellent condition, no marked size or labels remaining (this is definitely a Vested Gentress design and was procured with other Vested Gentress items), fits like a Med/Large, c1970s. The following measurements were taken with the garment lying FLAT and recorded in inches, please be sure and DOUBLE the appropriate measurements: Waist: 15, hips: 22, length: 23.
