Beautiful hand-colored aquatint print showing a red-coated hunter and his black horse and whipper getting the hounds ready for the hunt. Presented on brown tonal paper and hand-colored, originally published by O.P McQueen of London in 1878, artist Sheldon Williams was a British 19th century artist (1840-1881) who specialized in sporting art – fox hunting, field hunting, etc. Presented under glass with a black frame and gilded trim, very good condition, (Note: there is some reflection from the glass, the image is pristine) c1950s. Measures 29 ½ x 24 ½ inches.
