Lovely round Bowl with erratic rim illustrated inside and out with handsome fox hunters and their hounds in an English countryside, trimmed with cobalt blue and gilded florals. The marking WBI stands for the World Banking Institute, which was formed in the 1940s. It was to create jobs and stimulate the economy of underdeveloped nations, similar to what the WPA did for Americans in the 1940s but on a more global scale. The WBI initials started showing up on imported Chinese porcelain in the late 1940s. This mid-century vase is in excellent condition and shows the autumn colors of Green, brown and sky blue. C1960s, WBI stamp on bottom, measures 6 inches wide x 2 ½ inches tall x 2 inches deep.
