The characters and landscape on this rectangular box are artistically rendered with Asian details, a lovely treasure chest for your jewelry or special items. Black wood box with removable lid that has etched resin/acrylic details: raised red-coated horseman and brown horse, pearl mountains, brown tree trunk with green needles, raised beige rocks. The bottom of the box has purple felted finish, no stamps or marks. This box is in very good condition with the following notes: One of the branches of the tree has come off, the horse has some scruff marks on the front shoulder and leg, there are some small spots where parts of the image have come off. There may have been more to the picture at one time, it is hard to tell, c1940s. Measures 10 x 6 x 3 inches.
