Grosset & Dunlap published three books in a series meant to “inspire young people about the exciting areas of man’s activity on earth” – The other books were titled The Astronauts and Underwater Sea Adventure. Horse Fever is written by Pat Johnson, a horsewoman and sportswriter, and she educates young people on what it’s like to choose, equip and ride your own horse, covering subjects such as care and feeding and horse shows. With lovely photographs throughout, this book will take you back to a simpler time when life was a bit slowed-down and the love of horses was front and center for the young rider. Hardcover with 92 pages, excellent condition with one note: on page 10 someone has written the parts of the horse in ink (see picture).
