Each story concentrates on one of the characters, except Dave who is a main character in two of the books. The Texas Tenderfoot is one of five books in the original series that was published by Whitman between 1963 and 1964, and in this story newcomer Dave must learn to ride and help a more shy member of the group at Timber Trail Ranch. Hardcover, 282 pages, published by Whitman Publishing Co in Racine, WI, c1963. Book is in very good condition with the following notes: Finish on outside cover/spine is peeling and there is a small tear at the bottom of the spine; the 2nd page of the inside cover has been cleanly torn out; the pages are somewhat yellow with age.
