Glass-domed bridle rosettes have been around for centuries, but came into high fashion and demand during the Victorian era, and their appeal lasted well into the 1940s when many pieces were turned into jewelry. This lovely rosette shows a black/white image of a handsome yellow lab, glass dome with a brass back, no manufacture stamp (not unusual) and in very good condition with one note: the image of the dog may have an imperfection when looking at the right angle. Newer pin repurposed on the back, measures 1 ¾ inches round x 1 ¼ inches deep.
