From 1892 to 1953, Jennings Bros Manufacturing (known as JB) created distinguished gifts out of their Bridgeport, CT factory. In the 1920s thru 1930s they added a line of high-quality bookends to their manufacturing process, and their expensive production techniques relied on the talent and handwork of expert artists as none of these were mass produced. Made of cast gray polished metal, these sculptures were meant to stand the test of time. Grey metal base, this pair of equestrian hunter/jumpers are in full gallop up and over the fence with exquisite detail. This pair is quite rare and highly collectible. Both are in very good condition with some tarnished spots due to age, sold as a pair only, JB (Jenning Bros) label on the bottom, c1930s. Each measure 5 ¾ long x 5 ½ tall x 2 ¼ wide.
