A fabulous 11 piece dish set from Royal Wessex out of England has undeniable equestrian charm, with 3 different illustrations of the Victorian Hunt in blue on white ironstone porcelain. Though the history of Royal Wessex is a bit lacking, it is known that it was once a part of Swinnerton China (and still may be), which was founded in the 1800s in Stoke-On-Trent. This set includes 4 dinner plates that illustrate the Beginning of the Hunt; 3 dessert plates showing Riders in the Field; 3 bowls illustrate riders in Full Cry; and 1 saucer that shows a hunter Undercover. Blue dot transferware, excellent condition with no chip or cracks, this pattern is retired, c1990s. Sold in a full set of 11 pieces only. Dinner plates measure 10 inches, dessert plates measure 8 inches, bow measures 8 ½ inches, and saucer measures 5 ½ inches.
