Fabulous retro set of small porcelain mugs with the infamous “Tom & Jerry” stenciled in gold on the side, red trim top and 2 different fox hunting scenes on the other side; reduced spiral base, made in Japan, excellent condition. Tom and Jerry is an early 1800s classic drink consisting of cake-like egg batter that’s combined with brandy and rum and topped with warm milk. One cannot go into an antique store without finding either a Tom & Jerry bowl, mug or other tableware. Sold in a set of 4 only, c1950s.
Each cup measures 3 wide x 3 tall x 5 inches long.
