Arthur Wood Pottery was founded in 1884 and based at the Bradwell works in Longport, Stoke-on-Trent – the premises of Capper & Wood – and primarily produced teapots, and the appropriate drinkware that would go along with! This fabulous pair of mugs is created with dimensional relief and hand-fired with hand painted details, lightweight porcelain glazed in hunt colors of orange, brown and green. Handsome hunters and hounds with a sun-face image on the front. Excellent condition, sold as a pair only, stamped Arthur Wood England on the bottom, C1930s. Each measure 5 inches tall x 6 inches long x 11 inches around.
