Created by the German company Steiff, these hand puppets were created in the early to mid- 1960s and made from luxurious mohair. This little hand puppet was named Smardy Fox and was part of a whole woodland collection that Steiff produced. Steiff began creating stuffed animals in the late 1800s but it was not until 1902 when they started getting global recognition with their now famous Steiff Teddy Bears. This little guy is in very good condition with normal wear for a toy this old, but not holes or damage and the colors are still vivid. Made in Austria, c1960s. Measures 14 inches long x 5 ½ inches wide.
