This handsome aquatint engraving was published in France in the early 1900s and is titled “Full Cry”, one of multiple plates that were engraved under a certain series by this publisher. This image shows a fallen hunter who did not quite clear the expansive water hazard, while the field is in full cry toward the capture of the fox. Unknown artist, very good condition and presented under glass with a beveled cream-colored mat and simple black wood frame with gilded trim, simple wire hanger on back. Stamped Richmond Art Company of Virginia on back (Antique Gallery), measures 9 ½ x 10 inches.
