This lovely image is a reproduction from a series of hand-etched and colored plates titled “The Leicestershire Covers 1820” that were illustrated by H. Alken and hand-filled by A. Tallberg, original production was in the 1880s. This piece is the series shows the huge field of huntsmen and huntswomen and names the premier Hunter horses of the day with small titles under their images, with a vast backdrop of endless fields under a grey sky. A really lovely image in a small format, good condition and presented under glass with a very simple narrow black wood frame. Measures 16 x 6 inches.
