So well made, these fantastic boots do show some signs of age – but at close to 95 yrs old who can blame them? Found at a private estate sale the story told is that these boots were used in the early 1930s by a talented equestrienne and fox huntress who was in her early 20s and who rode 7 days per week. These boots were her favorite because she felt they were lucky, the little nick on the left boot back heel is where a horse fell during a jump and just touched the heel of her boot instead of falling on her leg. Quite a story for these lovely boots! Brown chestnut leather with leather sole and heel, narrow width, missing toppers, straps are not functional (but look fab), rounded toe, leather lining, interior boot pulls. No marked size but probably close to a size 8. No marks or stamps, c1930s. Boots measure 9 inches inside toe to heel, 10 ½ inches outside toe to heel, 3 ¼ inches wide, 1 inch tall heel, 16 inches tall, 13 inches around ankle, 14 inches around calf and around top of boot.
