Born on March 31st, 1965, Johnny West and and Chief Cherokee were the first fully articulated action figures made by the Louis Marx Toy Company, and Thunderbolt was their brave steed companion. Bringing imagination and the call of the wild west to many children in the 1960s, this line of action toys lasted well into the late 1970s – adding more characters and action figures each year. This palomino horse Thunderbolt is from the inauguration year of 1965 and is in excellent condition with almost-complete accessories: Bridle with reins, saddle with pad and saddle bags (the rifle and scabbard is missing). White mane and tail with a wide blaze on his face and black hooves, this horse is surely a trip down memory lane for many collectors. No box, c1965. Measures 14 inches long x 13 inches tall x 3 inches wide.
