Zula Kenyon was an American Illustrator (1873-1947) and was best known for the sentimental images of children and animals she did for the Gerlach Barklow Company of Joilet, Il. Her illustrations were used for calendars, jigsaw puzzles and other publications. This lovely image of a young huntress on her grey steed with companion hunting dog galloping through the forest was painted in 1910 (probably pastels actually) and this print is from a limited production run that was retired in the 1960s. Presented under glass with a thick oak frame and single beige mat, excellent condition, c1960s. Measures 15 ½ x 20 inches.
