From Johnson Bros Pottery in England, the pattern JB541 dates between the 1920s and 1930s, and was simply titled Fox Hunt Scene. It is difficult to tell how many images were a part of this pattern as finding pieces from this collection is quite rare, and to find 2 plates is even more unique. The back stamp was used starting in 1913, and the Pareek label simply defines the shape of the dinnerware, in this case smooth. These plates offer lovely imagery in a watercolor style of fox hunters and their hounds – mistress and hunt master and two hunters in their scarlet coats- on a light yellow background and orange trim/rim. Both are in excellent condition, Stamped Johnson Bros England/Pareek on back, c1930s. Measure 10 inches diameter, sold as a pair only.
