Beautiful oak wood framed porcelain plates, vibrant with the fall colors of mustard and green, fully illustrated with scenes from the commencement of the hunt to the capture and kill of the fox. These plates were made expressively for Ovington, a ceramics and pottery company that opened in New York in the mid-1800s and lasted well through the 1930s. Simple round wall hanger on back, hand painted details, stamped Ducal Crown Ware on back, very good condition with one note: One of the wood frames had a crack that was repaired (see picture); c1930s. Sold as a pair only, plates measure 9 ½ inches diameter, full frame measures 12 ¾ inches.
