A beautiful and rare piece from the “China King”, created just years before his passing in 1996. Pieces like this closed out the legacy of George Zoltan Lefton whose company was sold and disbanned in 2000. This lovely fox is poised for the run, perhaps hearing the far-off hounds hot in pursuit. Fine bisque porcelain in vivid fall colors was hand painted by talented artisans in Taiwain, keeping to the high quality specifications that Mr Lefton insisted on. Stamped on the bottom with the official Lefton Red and Gold seal, as well as Geo. Z. Lefton 1990 imprint with 07780 Fox. This is an unusual find and appears to be a very limited edition as it is not found on the secondary market as so many Lefton figurines are. Made in Taiwan and in excellent condition with no chips or marks, measures 5 inches long x 4.75 inches high x 3.75 inches wide.
