This California artist passed away in 2015 at the age of 94, but he has left a lasting legacy of artwork that can be found in thousands of galleries across the world. A well-known visual artist and illustrator, Herrero’s simplistic and naïve portraits of farm life, cats and landscapes were instantly recognizable and endearing to his fans and collectors. This plate was distributed by Vandor Imports of San Francisco, specializing in designing and creating unique import items that were made in Japan. Beautiful cream bisque plate with green and yellow striped painted border, patriotic-embellished carousel horse in lovely detail and clarity. Excellent condition with no cracks or chips. Circa 1985, made in Japan, measures 8 inches across/round.
