This French-made brand is widely found on the internet, but there is little really known about the origins of Rene Chagal. What little can be found tells us that the line originated from France but appears to be defunked, and was better known for novelty-type ties with funny illustrations and political branding. More serious and artistic designs can be found particularly in Europe where the brand was probably more abundant. This lovely Equestrian tie is made from silk with a red tartan plaid base and polo player motif and is in excellent condition. Circa 1990s, tie measures 59 inches total length, 3 ¾ inches at widest point and 1 ¼ inches at the most narrow point.
