Lenox introduced the American Woodland Wildlife Series in 1973 and the annual plates ran through 1982. This stunning plate depicting Red Foxes is 2nd in the series and was issued in 1974 (there are a total of 10 plates) and was designed by Edward Marshall Boehm and handcrafted on Lenox fine china with a lovely ivory background and trimmed with a band of cobalt blue and 24K gold. The back is stamped with the year of issue and the name of the animal with the Boehm and Lenox logos in gold. This plate is in MINT condition stored in the original box that includes an inner plate box and a certificate of authenticity. C1974, made in USA, measures 10 ½ inches round.
