With stunning artistic detail this fantastic Indian War pony comes to life with etched boldness and swirling movement. Using rich desert colors of brown and sienna the artist has created a piece that one can really feel the strength and defiance of this proud steed, from the expressive eyes to the wind-whipped mane and detailed tribe feather at the poll. Made from heavy ceramic with hand-cut brass dimensional mane and forelock, simple bridle and reins, this piece is very heavy and in excellent condition. Artist is unknown but the piece came from a gallery in New Mexico in the 1980s. Measures 25 inches long x 19 inches tall x 11 inches wide.
