Born Karl Anderson, Jr, a second marriage by his mother to businessman Bill Kors gave this 5-year old an opportunity to pick a new first name and he decided on Michael David Kors – the rest, as they say, is history! A fashion lover from a young age, Michael Kors had a few educational false starts but introduced his first woman’s collection in 1981 that was sold in high-end department stores like Bergdorf Goodman and Saks Fifth Avenue. Though he struggled at first and went through a bankruptcy in the early 1990s, he emerged as strong as ever and is still an iconic label today. These fabulous boots are made from a stiff and glossy black leather with built-in toppers and outside boot pulls with a sealed sole. Excellent condition, made in Italy, late 1990s, size 7. Boots measure 9 ¼ inches inside from toe to heel, 3 ½ inches wide sole, 16 ½ inches tall outside length and 15 ½ inches tall inside length, 1 inch heel, 11 ½ inches ankle circumference, 15 inches circumference around top of boot.
