Royal Bayreuth porcelain factory was founded in Tettau, Bavaria in 1794 and continues on strong today. This fabulous plate is from a series of designs Royal Bayreuth created at the turn of the 20th century depicting country scenes and animals, and this image can be found on a variety of items – from trays and butter dishes to vases and bowls. Soft pastel colors create the backdrop for a red-coated huntsman and navy-clad side-saddle madam with a pack of hunting hounds in a pastoral backdrop. Gilded edge (some wear), this plate is in beautiful condition with no chips or cracks or crazing. Green Royal Bayreuth stamp dates this to approx. 1910. Measures 7 ¼ inches round
