In 1944 Lancaster & Sons, Ltd was renamed Lancaster & Sandland, Ltd when, presumably, Sandland became a partner in the company. Lancaster & Barker was the founding company in 1887 in Stoke-On-Trent and continued until 1899; From 1899 thru 1944 the company was known as Lancaster & Sons, Ltd and they became well-known for their ceramic and porcelain tableware and collectibles. Sadly the company was dissolved in 1968. This lovely creamer and sugar bowl set shows a colorful village stopover for a fox hunter and his hounds, gilded edge, ivory color with transferware image.
