Shirlee Designs was a small fashion house that was based in New York in the 1950s that imported novelty sweaters (primarily) with fabulous colors and embroidery, and they were sold in department and specialty stores thru the 1980s under the Cyn Les label. You have to give this obscure company credit – there are a huge number of these sweaters on the vintage market and they still fetch nice prices. This lovely color-blocked sweater is embroidered with a herd of grey trotting horses on a cranberry red background with contrasting grey sleeves and boat-style collar, long sleeves, unlined, ribbed knit boat collar, cuffs and hem, lightweight acrylic knit, very good condition with light, normal wear. C 1970s, size Med.
