Shirlee Designs was a small fashion house that was based in New York in the 1950s that imported novelty sweaters (primarily) with fabulous colors and embroidery, and they were sold in department and specialty stores thru the 1980s under the Cyn Les label. You have to give this obscure company credit – there are a huge number of these sweaters on the vintage market and they still fetch nice prices. This sweater is made for the horse lover, black acrylic knit with embroidered white/grey horse head center front framed with red embroidered snaffle bit details, long sleeves, unlined, crew collar with knit cuffs and hem, very good condition with light, normal wear. C1970s, size small.
