The Pfaltzgraff brand is an American success story that started in the 1800s with one man’s dream of coming to America to find success and create a family. Johann George Pfaltzgraff came to America from Germany in 1833 with his new wife and a desire to work with his cousin in York County, Pennsylvania who was an established potter since 1811. Over the next 200 years the Pfaltzgraff brand has grown from a modest-sized pottery shop that produced simple earthenware, into one of the best known designers and producers of dinnerware, drinkware, giftware and other products. These fabulous lamps are from the 1970s, wood base with white porcelain columns and Victorian hunt scene transferware images on front with one lamp having an additional red-coated hunter with his black horse and fox hound.
