Pollini footwear was founded in 1953 in San Mauro Pascoli, a small town near Bologna in the Northeast section of Italy. Drawing from highly skilled artisans this region has since become an authentic shoemaking district and started producing on a more industrial scale. One of the most popular themed collections from Pollini was the Daytona introduced in the 1960s, fantastic lace- up boots and casual shoes. Today Pollini is going strong under the execution of Italian designer Erminio Cerbone. This lovely pair of riding boots is rich with designer interpretations from the contrasting topper to the low riding heel and outside boot pull. Made in Italy of fine and supple leather, rubber/composite sole, rounded toe, full inside zipper, leather lining, bias-height dimensions. These boots are in excellent condition with one note: There is a small dimple on the Left inside boot by the bottom of the zipper. C1980s and marked size 37, fits like a US size 8 so be sure and note the physical dimensions listed. Boots measure 9 ½ inches INSIDE toe to heel and 10 ½ inches outside toe to heel, 1 inch heel, 16 ½ inches outside height and 15 ½ inches inside height (zipper side), 3 ¾ wide outside sole, 10 ½ inches around ankle, 13 ¼ inches around calf and 14 ¼ inches around top.
