What began in 1925 as The Pulitzer Brothers Neckwear Company in New Orleans slowly evolved into the largest tie manufacturer in the world, thanks in part to the happen-stance discovery in 1935 of a fabulous new fabric they named the Nor East that was produced in Wembley, England – and thus the name change for the company. This handsome red fox tie was part of the Endangered Species series that was started in the 1970s and continued thru the 1980s. Featuring a portrait of a sole fox on a moonlit night pausing at a pool among the pine trees, excellent condition, made in USA, c 1980s. Measures 58 inches long x 1 ¼ inches narrow and 4 inches widest at tip.
