Susan Bennis/Warren Edwards was a very successful New York-based shoe company founded in 1972 by Susan Bennis and Warren Edwards, focusing exclusively on their own designs they had made in Italy; by 1980 the brand was well-known by fashionistas as the expensive shoes with the outrageous designs; sadly, the company was dissolved by 1997. These fabulous boots are the Bennis take on riding boots in a caramel brown, buttery-soft smooth leather with rounded toe, moderate heel and riding spur/strap detail. Slip-on style with light leather trim inside, excellent condition, measure slightly narrow. C 1970s, made in Italy, marked size 38. Boots physically measure 8 ½ inches inside toe to heel, 10 inches outside toe to heel, 3 inch wide sole, 1 ½ inch heel, 18 inches tall, 12 inches around ankle, 13 inches around mid- calf and 13 ½ inches around the top.
