This adorable figurine shows the imagination of a blue-eyed boy as he rides his wooden mount across the English countryside in hot pursuit of the elusive fox. Sebastian Miniatures were first created in Arlington, Massachusetts in 1938 by Prescott W Baston, Sr who started this company by producing and painting miniatures in his basement. His business grew with the production of commercial miniatures for advertising, and large clients such as Jell-O used his artistic service to offer free gifts to their customer base. Baston continued producing his miniatures until his death in 1984, and they are highly collectible today. Bisque porcelain, very good condition with some areas darkening with age, no chips or cracks, c 1953, made in USA. Measures 4 inches long x 2 inches wide x 3 ¾ inches tall.
