There is frustratingly little information out there about the artist who that created this lovely lithographed picture, but there are about 6 different scenes you can find out there with the same Whitehead signature, all dating from about the 1960s, and all similarly framed so suffice it to say that Whitehead is a talented sporting artist who captures the scenes from the hunt with great expression and talent. Beautiful wood frame with gilded edge, brown matt interior gilded edge, scene shows a huntsman on his dapple gray horse with circling hounds closing in on the fox and other huntsmen closing in. The frame has some wear on it and the matt is lightly faded simply due to age. It looks like this was professionally framed and distributed by Windsor Arts in California. C1960s, measures 13x20 inches.
