The Philadelphia Quartermaster Depot was originally named Schuylkill Arsenal in 1799, and was built to function as a distribution point for military supplies and provisions. This QM made flags and clothing for all the Military’s needs for the next 150 years; the name was changed to Philadelphia QM Depot in 1926. This fabulous jacket is made from 100% wool in the traditional army green blanket fabric with a wool rib-knit collar and cuffs, buttoned straps on the shoulder, full button front, angled welt front pockets, short cut, tailored seams, polyester lining, structured shoulders. There is a tag inside the front pocket that reads “ Liner, Jacket Field Women’s Size 14R, pattern date: 12/13/44, Rudy Clothes, Phila QM Depot. Note: Rudy Clothes is still in business today, founded in 1939 and contracted by the US Government to design clothing for the military. This jacket is in great condition with the following notes: The wool ribbed collar and cuffs have some holes (see pictures). C1944, size 14R, made in USA.
