Through the challenges of convincing his father he is ready for the responsibility of a horse, to the sickness and wounds both of them encounter, the story has a happy ending with the love between a boy and his horse persevering in the end. Cloth binding, there is a small separation on the last page but the interior pages are in excellent condition.
