This stunning piece portrays six baroque stallions galloping and frolicking through a leafy backdrop, finished in golden bronze, beautiful relief and artistic detail – a lovely piece to grace your equestrian home. This piece was created by Universal Statuary Corp, founded in Chicago in the 1930s by Jack & Leo Lucchesi. Best known for their piggy banks and plaques, they employed many immigrant artisans to create unique items in chalkware and plaster. In the 1950s they began to work with experimental composites and transitioned to resins, coming up with a material called “FiberClad InFrangible” that was guaranteed not to chip or break; the company was sold in the mid-1980s. This plaque is made from the FiberClad resin, lightweight and strong, with 2 triangle hooks on the back side. C 1960s, measures 33 ½ inches long x 18 inches tall x 3 ½ inches thick/deep.
