This small stout mug shows a classic Victorian scene – a pair of carriage horse patiently waiting while the passenger’s baggage is loaded on the top of the carriage under the stern eye of the carriage master. Amber glaze with black trim and handle, floral detail on bottom, glaze shows the age-appropriate crazing, excellent condition, stamped Occupied Japan on bottom. C 1940s, base measures 3 x 3 inches, top measures 2 ¾ x 2 ¾ inches and is 3 ¾ inches tall.
