Brookgreen Gardens is a historical site that was opened in 1932 and contains the largest and most extensive collection of American Figurative Sculpture in the country. Located in South Carolina, this park was founded by Archer Milton Huntington and his wife, Anna Hyatt Huntington, to feature sculptures by Anna and her sister, along with other American Sculptors. At the entrance to the park is the life-sized original sculpture by Anna titled “The Fighting Stallions”; there is also a replica at Texas State, known as the University’s symbol of freedom. This mini-miniature keepsake pewter sculpture of the iconic statue has amazing detail from the horse’s hooves to their open mouths and unclothed rider. C 1980s, excellent condition and made in the UK, measures 1 ¼ inches round x 2 inches tall.
